Its material guide says this grade is formulated for hairdressing scissors and describes its wear resistance relative to the 440C it uses. Both models name ATS-314, yet they serve different cutting tasks. The model sheets do not establish an HRC 60–63 range, a universal edge-life advantage over VG-10, or a fixed sharpening interval. The grade alone cannot tell you how either pair feels or wears in your hand.
Check the exact model’s purpose, blade length, tooth design if it is a thinner, handle and pivot. Ask the maker or seller about local sharpening and repair terms.
