Kenchii

Kenchii has been operating out of Kennesaw, Georgia since 2004, trading as Kenchii Professional. It is one of the more widely distributed mid-range US brands, and its strongest claim to a stylist’s attention is the depth of its thinning range. Most brands give you a couple of thinner options and call it done. Kenchii runs tooth counts from 14T up to 46T, which is a real spread: a fine 40-plus-tooth thinner blends so subtly the work is almost invisible, while a lower-tooth model removes weight in a more obvious pass. Having both ends covered lets a stylist dial in exactly how much hair leaves per cut rather than compromising on whatever single thinner came with the set.

Range

The cutting catalogue spans point, dry, wet, slide, fine, finishing, and everyday cuts, with dedicated left-handed models alongside. That breadth, paired with the thinning depth, makes Kenchii a sensible single-brand kit for a working stylist who would rather not mix makers. Pricing sits in the mid-range, with most models in the $200 to $400 band.

One honest gap: Kenchii does not prominently publish a named steel grade or hardness figure in the way some of its peers do, so treat the steel question as something to confirm with a dealer if it drives your decision.

Kenchii sells through its own site and a strong retail spread, including Scissor Dude, SalonCentric, and Williamsport Bowman, so you can buy from a dedicated shear specialist or a larger supply distributor depending on preference.
